في #اللغة_العربية أربعة حروف تعمل عمل #ليس، فتنفي الخبر عن اسمها وتنصبه، هي: #ما_الحجازية، ولاتَ، ولا، إنْ، وسُميت ما الحجازية بهذا الاسم لأن أهل الحجاز يُعملونها فتنصب الخبر، كما في قوله تعالى: ﴿مَا هَذَا بَشَرًا ﴾ [يوسف: ٣١] وقوله تعالى: ﴿مَا هُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ﴾ [المجادلة: ٢]
وتشبه ما الحجازية (ليس) في أنه يكثر دخول الباء الزائدة الدالة على التوكيد على خبرها، وذلك في ستة وسبعين موطنًا من القرآن الكريم، منه قوله تعالى: ﴿وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ﴾ [فصلت: ٤٦] وقوله تعالى: ﴿وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ﴾ [الأنعام: ١٠٧]
«معاني النحو» (٢٥٤/١):
«ورد خبر (ما) مقترنا بالباء الزائدة الدالة على التوكيد في ستة وسبعين موطنًا»
«التطبيق النحوي» (ص١٣٣):
«إذا اقترن خبرها بالباء التي هي حرف جر زائد، جاز لك إعرابها على الإعمال والإهمال، والأكثر إعرابها عاملة؛ لأنهم يرون أن إعمالها هو اللغة القديمة، وأن زيادة الباء في الخبر متطور عن لغة النصب»
