Thank you for watching. In this video I work with ash wood to create a super thin platter. Ash is an open-grained wood allowing for embellishing waxes to change the colour of the grain. The wrist brace you see me wearing in some of the shots is just me trying out an idea to absorb shocks from the lathe as I usually have to record multiple videos in one go.

Woodturning is a hobby of mine that I thoroughly enjoy! I often design the piece that I am working on as I am shaping it on the lathe, making the final project design different from the last.

كان الصحابى الجليل عدى بن حاتم الطائى يفث الخبز للنمل ويقول انهن جارات لنا ولهن علينا حق الجوار ولما مرض ابى الدرداء مرض الموت بص لباحه بيته وشاف بعيره الذى كان يستخدمه فى معاشه وقال ابها البعير لا تخاصمنى الى ربك فانى لم احملك فةق طاقتك . ولما اشتهى عمر السمك وارسل خادمه لمده يومين لياتى له به ولما رجع نظر عمر للدابه فوجد عرق تحت اذنها فقال له عذبت بهيمه فى شهوه عمر والله لا اذوقه ابدا .فكيف كانت معامله هؤلاء مع اهل بيتهم وخدمهم وجيرانهم فتشبهوا بالكرام والرجال ان التشبه بهم فلاح .
