لا تأتي كلمة (وَحْد) في العربية إلا منصوبة، لا يسبقها حرف الجر اللام، وتُعرب حالًا منصوبة، الأصل في الحال أن تكون نكرة، وكلمة (وحد) معرَّفة بالإضافة، لكنها تؤوَّل بنكرة، قولك: جاء وحْدَه أي جاء منفرِدًا
