هذا ظبي سايجا ذكر. وبينما كان يمشي، يلاحظ بعضَ الإناث من بعيد. أنف الذَّكَرِ الضخمِ يعمل على تصفية الغبار وتدفئة الهواءِ الباردِ في الشتاء، قبل وصوله إلى الرئتين. ولكنه يستخدمه أيضًا لإثارة إعجابِ الْإِناث. لذلك، يقترب ويبدأ في هز أنفه الكبير والعريض في محاولة لإثارة إعجابهن. ولكن الإناث لسن منبهرات. غير مبالٍ، يلجأ إلى مطاردتهن، مما يدفع الإناث للهرب. وعندما لا يجد النجاح بهذه الطريقة، يضع شجيرة فوق رأسه ليبدو مهيبًا، ويستأنف المطاردة. ولكن هذا يخيفهن أكثر ويهربن أسرع من ذي قبل.
