وأمرُّ ما ألقاهُ من ألَـمِ الهوى

قُرْبُ الحبيبِ وما إليه وصولُ
كالعِيْسِ في البيداءِ يَقتلها الظَّما
والماءُ فوقَ ظهورِها محمولُ
أشكو الغرامَ وأنتَ عني غافلٌ
ويجدُّ بي وجدي وطرفكَ هازلُ
يا بدرُ كم سهرتَ عليك نواظرٌ
ويا غصن ُ كم ناحت عليكَ بلابلُ
البدرُ يكمل كل شهرٍ مرةً
وهلالُ وجهك كل يومٍ كاملُ
