أربعة من #الحروف_الناسخة ينتهين بنون مشددة، والعرب تخفف هذه النون، أما (إنْ) المخففة من الثقيلة فيجوز إعمالها وإهمالها، والأشيع إهمالها، ويلحق بخبرها #اللام_الفارقة قال تعالى: ﴿قَالُوۤا۟ إِنۡ هَـٰذَ ٰ⁠نِ لَسَـٰحِرَ ٰ⁠نِ﴾ [طه ٦٣]
ويرى فريق من العلماء وجوب إهمالها إذا دخلت على فعل ناسخ، كما في قوله تعالى: ﴿وَإِن كَانَتۡ لَكَبِیرَةً إِلَّا عَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ هَدَى ٱللَّهُۗ﴾ [البقرة ١٤٣]
وأيضًا فَإنَّ (لكنْ) المخففة يجب إهمالها، قال الشاعر:
ولَسْتُ أُجَازِي المُعْتَدِي بِاعْتِدَائِهِ ** ولَكِنْ بِصَفْحِ القَادِرِ المُتَحَلِّمِ
