ما كُنتُ أَحسَبُ أَنَّ الوَصلَ مُمتَنِعٌ
وَأَنَّ وَعدَكَ بَرقٌ ما بِهِ مَطَرُ
خاطَرتُ فيكَ بِغالي النَفسِ أَبذُلُها
إِنَّ الخَطيرَ عَليهِ يَسهُلُ الخَطَرُ
لَمّا رَأَيتُ ظَلامَ الشَعرِ مِنكَ بَدا
خُضتُ الظَلامَ وَلَكِن غَرَّني القَمَرُ
