لما هاجم جنكيز خان مدينه بخاري وعجز عن اقتحامها فكتب لاهل المدينه ان الذى سيقف جانيه فهو امن الصف الاول رفض واصر على الدفاع عن المدينه والصف الثانى وافق على الرضوخ والاستسلام خوف من بطش المغول فكتب جنكيز خان للصف الثانى ان اعنتمونا على قتال من رفض منكم نولكم امر بلدكم ونمكنكم من الحكم والسلطه فدارت الحرب بين الطرفين وانتصر بالفعل الصف الثانى ولكن التتار سحب منهم السلاح وذبحهم وكانت مقولته الشهيره لو كان يؤمن جانبهم لما غدروا باخوانهم من اجلنا ونحن الغرباء .
