بركة التماسيح المعروفة "كاتشيكالي" في غامبيا ، يعتبر المحليون هذه البركة مقدسة و يؤمنون بقواها العلاجية ويعتبرونها مكاناً للحصول على البركة. ينظر إليها المحليون أحيانًا على أنها الملاذ الأخير للنساء المصابات بالعقم اللاتي يرغبن في الإنجاب. يأتي العديد من الأشخاص الذين يعانون من أمراض طويلة الأمد أو سوء حظ إلى البركة لشفائهم أو لتحسين حظهم في الحياة. الزائرون يقدمون هدايا مختلفة لعائلة بوجانغ التي تمتلك هذا البركة والقرابين للتماسيح التي تعيش فيها. يسمح للتماسيح بالتجول بحرية ويمكن للزوار الاقتراب منهم ولمسهم.
