يقول المثل العربي: غَشَمْشَمُ يَغْشَى الشَّجَر
يُراد به السّيل لأنه يركب الشجر فيدقّه ويقلعه. ويُراد به أيضاً الجملُ الهائج.
يُضرب للرجل لا يبالي ما يصنع من الظُّلم.
الْغَشْمُ: الظُّلْم والغَصْبُ
والغَشَمْشَمُ: مَنْ يَرْكَبُ رأسَه فلا يَثْنيهِ عن مرادِهِ شيءٌ.
