قد يتسبب العطس يقوة في كسر ضلع، كما أن الإنسان لا يستطيع أن يعطس وعيناه مفتوحتان، وإذا حدث ذلك فإنهما ستنفجران، وقد يتسبب العطس في انفجار وعاء دموي في الرأس أو الرقبة، وبالتالي الموت، وذلك إذا حاول الإنسان كتم العطسة.
تتسع العين بنسبة حوالي 45% عندما ينظر الإنسان إلى شيء يشعره بالفرح، والسعادة. يوجد في جسم الإنسان نسبة من الحديد تكفي لصنع مسمار يبلغ طوله حوالي 7.5 سم
