كلمة "فرفور" تستخدم في العامية المصرية لوصف الشخص الجبان أو الضعيف أو المدلل بشكل زائد. ويعتقد الجميع ان كلمة "فرفور" مشتقة من اسم الفأر نظرا لكونه مضرب المثل في الجبن والضعف والهرب. لكن الحقيقة الصادمة أن كلمة "فرفور" لها معنى وأصل مختلف تماما عما يعرفه الجميع.
