وكمْ تغافلتُ عن أشياء أعرفُها
وكمْ تجاهلتُ قولاً كان يُؤذيني
وكمْ أقابلُ شخصاً من ملامحهِ
أدري يقيناً وحقّاً لا يُدانيني
وكمْ تغاضيتُ لا جُبناً ولا خوراً
هي المروءةُ من طبعي ومن ديني
جازيتُ بالطيبِ كلّ الناسِ مجتهداً
لعلَّ ربّي عن طيبي سيجزيني
