المغناطيسات النيوديميوم قوية جدًا لدرجة أنه عندما يتم تقريب اثنين منها من بعضهما البعض، يجذبان بعضهما بسرعة كبيرة، لدرجة أنهما يبدوان وكأنهما يندمجان. قواها المغناطيسية قوية جدًا لدرجة أنها قادرة على سحق أي شيء يقع بينهما. ومحاولة فصل مغناطيسين نيوديميوم قد تكون شبه مستحيلة بسبب جاذبيتهما القوية. وعلى الرغم من قوتها، فإن تعرضها للحرارة يمكن أن يتسبب في فقدانها لقوتها المغناطيسية والتصرف كالمعدن العادي.
